I was in my late-teens when the Jackson-5 burst onto the scene. I remember when they were on the old Ed Sullivan Show and dazzled the world with their moves and songs. Even then MJ stood out from the rest and I think everyone knew that we would be going places.
Funny how it is that for the most part people only seem to really appreciate someone only after they're gone. I think that's the case for many when it came to MJ. I think and truly believe that he's in a far better place than this mean cruel ole world; and for that I'm happy for him. I'm also content in the knowledge that when all of his distractors and haters are dust and long-forgotten, we'll be remembered for generations to come.
Any astronomer will tell you that the brightest stars in the heavens burn out the quickest. Well MJs' star certainly shown bright; perhaps brightest of them all. He'll shine on in the memory of this fans both present and future and in all the wonderful music he's left behind.
Don't you think the world is a better place for there having been a Michael Jackson? I think so!
